St.Andrews Colts v Dundee West
The Colts played against Dundee West in what was their 1st game as a team.
Colts played very good passing football today from both teams, they put in their best performance of the season.
Some of their passing and movement was superb and shows the boys have been learning and taking in what we do in training.
Plenty positives today and not many negatives, A lot still to work on but a great exercise from both Colts teams.
Well done boys
Sunday 9th March
The Colts travelled through to Dundee to play Dundee United Social Club at Monymusk.
A game last year that was evenly contested between the 2 teams.
Colts started well passing the ball and retaining possession without causing too many problems.
DUSC opened the scoring midway through the first half and added another before half time, Colts started well again in the second half and got a goal back, but unfortunately couldn't add to their tally and DUSC added a 3rd before full time.
The Second game Colts were over-powered and outplayed, DUSC had the better of chances and the better of the ball for long periods.
Colts kept trying to play the right way, passing from the back and kept a good attitude throughout the game.
The boys did very well today especially in the first game, they played as a team, worked very hard and passed the ball well which was pleasing.
The 2nd game the boys came up against a very strong team, they struggled with this and didn't really get going.
The boys never stopped with effort though and kept trying to play the right way, keeping the ball on the ground.
A lot of positives for both teams today and a lot fo stuff to be worked on for the next few weeks.
